North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership (NWCDTP)

A blog for students funded by a cross institutional scheme through the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) to train a new generation of skilled researchers. Offering postgraduate studentships and training across the full range of the AHRC’s disciplines. All views are those of students and are not necessarily those of the NWCDTP.

An Introduction

Welcome to the NWCDTP blog.

As NWCDTP funded students we aim to share in the experience of studying for a PhD, balancing academic study and being a part of the consortium community. We hope that this will be a place to discuss shared experiences, by creating a dialogue for students in arts and humanities pathways across the North West, as well as increasing the potential for interdisciplinary discussion. We also look forward to future contributions from students as events and training across the consortium commence. To launch the blog in the next few days, we will be posting a retrospective of the first few months of academic study and NWCDTP events. We hope to read your experiences of the first semester in the comments and any thoughts/ideas for the future of the blog.
